Youth Mental Wellness Coach

Role Overview

Clayful is seeking Youth Mental Wellness Coaches to support young people through chat-based and audio/video coaching sessions via the Clayful platform. This is a 1099 contract role with flexible hours based on coaching demand.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-demand and scheduled coaching for students in grades 4–12 via audio/video and chat
• Provide responsive, empathetic support for issues like stress, relationships, identity, and academic pressure
• Support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities with cultural awareness
• Follow established crisis conversation protocols, with real-time backup from licensed Coach Supervisors
• Participate in ongoing training and adapt to new tools/processes

Schedule / Availability

• Coaching hours occur during and after school: 7am–10pm PST, Monday–Friday
• Highest activity windows: approximately 7am–2pm and 4–7pm PST
• Typical commitment: 1–3+ hours per week, with ebbs during breaks and summers

Requirements

• California Wellness Coach Certification OR eligibility via defined pathways (company notes you do not need to live in CA)
• Education pathway mentioned: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, or Psychology (from a CA institution) plus 400 hours of field experience (text truncated)
