About the role

Role Overview

DigitalXnode is looking for an experienced WordPress & PHP Developer to design, develop, deploy, monitor, and enhance web applications. The role involves strong backend architecture and dynamic, responsive frontend work, including modern interactive UI development.

Responsibilities

Build and custom-develop web applications using WordPress themes, plugins, custom plugins, and PHP/Laravel.
Develop frontend experiences: responsive, pixel-perfect UI using HTML5, CSS3, Sass/LESS, and vanilla JavaScript.
Integrate databases and APIs:
- Design efficient MySQL schemas
- Integrate third-party REST and GraphQL APIs
Performance, monitoring, and optimization:
- Optimize for speed, scalability, and security
- Support strong Core Web Vitals
Maintain coding standards including Content Schema and On-Page SEO / content hierarchy.
Troubleshoot and upgrade existing WordPress plugins, themes, and legacy codebases.
Work independently and collaborate with multi-geographically distributed teams.

Requirements

Strong WordPress knowledge: core, hooks, filters, REST API, plugin/theme lifecycle.
Hands-on headless WordPress experience (Jamstack) using Next.js or Frontity.
Strong PHP experience with OOP and MVC architecture.
Hands-on Laravel experience building scalable web applications.
Modern frontend skills: ES6+, CSS Grid/Flexbox, responsive design.
Experience with web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
React.js experience for interactive UI.
SQL knowledge, query optimization, and relational database design.
