Role overview

As a Werkstudent (student intern) in Web Development, you help design, implement, and continuously improve web projects for B2B companies. From WordPress websites to Shopware shops, you support your team in ensuring sites are not only visually strong, but also technically clean and performant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop WordPress websites
• Support the care and optimization of Shopware online shops
• Implement small frontend adjustments (e.g., HTML, CSS, small JavaScript changes)
• Provide technical support for updates, tests, and bug fixing in existing projects
• Set up and adapt themes, plugins, and modules for WordPress/Shopware
• Support landing pages, forms, and smaller technical special solutions
• Research tools, extensions, and web development best practices
• Work in a structured way using AI & Office tools and learn new systems quickly

Requirements

• You are an enrolled student (e.g., Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, Digital Media, or related)
• Basic familiarity with web technologies (e.g., from study projects, personal websites, internships, or side projects)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
• Interest in Shopware or e-commerce systems (bonus if you already have exposure)
• Ability to work carefully and reliably, structure tasks independently, and solve technical issues pragmatically
• About 10–15 hours/week that fit with your studies

• First experience with WordPress or other CMS
• First touchpoints with Shopware or comparable e-commerce systems
