About the role

Role Overview

WebFocus Developer consultant for WebFOCUS 8 report development and HTML UI creation within the WebFOCUS environment. You will evaluate and enhance existing reporting assets, build new reports/projects, and provide production support.

Responsibilities

Evaluate how existing reports are written: used fields, report structure, and coding approach.
Design, code, and test reports (including both GUI-driven and source-code-based development).
Maintain and enhance existing reports, including production support and issue troubleshooting.
Develop new projects from scratch.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues for both legacy and new report development.
Coordinate programming activities with the Team Lead within AOC WebReporting environment rules and guidelines.
Collaborate with business/technical stakeholders who own data across systems such as DB2, Sybase, SQL, and Mainframe Flat Files.
Analyze user requirements for conversion projects.
Collaborate with application teams for user and data setup.
Identify and document system defects.
Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

Requirements

Strong expertise with WebFOCUS 8 for report writing and development.
Ability to create reports in GUI and source code.
Ability to design HTML user interfaces within WebFOCUS.
Broad knowledge of WebFOCUS internals and related output technologies: PDF, Excel, HTML, AHTML, and Word.
Experience with Information Builders WebFOCUS report development.
Experience with User Interface Design / HTML and GUI-driven, dynamic parameter-driven reporting selection criteria.
Proficiency with JavaScript and CSS.
Strong business and system analysis skills.
Ability to compare actual procedures to specified standards and procedures.
Excellent communication skills and strong collaboration experience.

Experience teaching or conveying technical/functional courses and concepts.
Ability to develop work programs and manage time effectively.
Ability to identify improvements to project standards to improve service/product quality.
