About the role

Role Overview

The Web and Graphics Web Developer designs, develops, and maintains the organization’s digital ecosystem, including responsive web pages, UI/UX elements, and multimedia assets. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to turn complex requirements into intuitive and engaging learning and communication experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop responsive web pages, custom templates, and multimedia assets aligned with branding and accessibility standards.
  • Create high-fidelity graphics, UI layouts, and interactive multimedia components for instructional and communication initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (SMEs, site managers, technical teams) to translate requirements into user-friendly experiences.
  • Debug, optimize, and maintain web properties for compatibility across browsers/devices with fast load times.
  • Lead front-end customization in CMS (DNN/DotNetNuke) and LMS (Moodle), integrating dynamic content and APIs as needed.
  • Ensure visual consistency across digital platforms (brand stewardship).
  • Monitor web traffic and user behavior using analytics to drive design and performance improvements.
  • Manage a multimedia publishing pipeline (e.g., podcasts), ensuring correct metadata, artwork, and embedding.
  • Stay current with web design trends, WCAG accessibility standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in web design and front-end development.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience managing content and customizing modules in enterprise CMS environments, preferably DNN (DotNetNuke).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating modern UI/UX and responsive design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) and prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Bachelor’s degree in web/graphic design, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with LMS platforms, especially Moodle (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with emerging accessibility and web design best practices.
