Role Overview

CBTS is seeking a skilled Web Developer to build, implement, and maintain a consumer-products-focused website. This is a remote contract role focused on hands-on development, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering stable, scalable web solutions.

Responsibilities

Development & Implementation (60%)

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements
Define scope, technical specifications, and timelines
Develop, test, and maintain web applications, tools, and systems
Perform UI design and coding; build reusable components, wireframes, and templates
Implement enhancements and resolve bugs using unit and user-acceptance testing
Ensure stability via regression testing and QA support
Perform regular file backups and maintain system integrity
Deliver quick fixes and scalable solutions for larger enhancements

Collaboration & Integration (25%)

Work with CRM and cross-functional teams to ensure application availability and performance
Participate in testing, training, and documentation
Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards/best practices
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and users to implement new designs

Reporting & Support (15%)

Track and communicate project status, risks, and issues
Understand dependencies across systems, platforms, and business functions
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Proven experience developing websites across multiple products or organizations
Strong knowledge of:
- HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript
- jQuery
- PHP
- APIs including REST and SOAP / web services
Cross-browser compatibility and web security principles
Experience with WordPress and Drupal (CMS)
Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Preferred Skills

Experience with MuleSoft
GitHub Actions and workflows
Playwright (testing automation)
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced environments
