Web Developer/ Senior Graphic Artist & Animator

Role Overview

Hybrid creative technologist bridging front-end web development with graphic design, motion/animation, and visual storytelling. You’ll help shape Conversa Corps’ visual identity while contributing code that brings designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Web Development

• Build and maintain responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React or Vue preferred)
• Collaborate with senior web/marketing (MarCom) leads to implement wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows
• Optimize for accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility
• Integrate animations, micro-interactions, and visual assets into web environments

Graphic Design & Brand Expression

• Produce high-quality visual assets for web, mobile, and social platforms
• Create brand-aligned layouts, typography systems, iconography, and visual frameworks
• Refine the organization’s design language and creative standards

Animation & Motion Design

• Create 2D/3D animations, explainer videos, motion graphics, and UI animations
• Convert complex civic/emergency-response concepts into clear visual narratives
• Build web-optimized animated assets (respecting platform constraints)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with product, UX, engineering, and communications teams
• Participate in creative reviews and sprint planning; iterate through feedback cycles
• Contribute to storytelling for campaigns, product launches, and community engagement

Requirements

Web Development

• Intermediate experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git and modern build tools
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards
• Intermediate CMS experience (WordPress)

Graphic Design

• 4–6+ years professional experience in graphic arts/visual design
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and/or Figma
• Strong portfolio (brand systems, layout design, digital-first work)

Animation

• Senior-level motion graphics/animation pipelines and video editing experience
• Experience with After Effects, Blender, Cinema4D, or similar
• Ability to produce web-ready animations (Lottie, SVG animation, GIF optimization)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in civic tech, social impact, or mission-driven organizations
• Familiarity with DAMs, CMS, UI component libraries, and design-to-dev handoff tools
• Understanding of emergency response/community organizing/public-interest storytelling
• Comfort working remotely with fast-moving priorities
