Web Developer (React) | Remote

Role Overview

Frontend Developer (React) for remote work on a contract basis, ~10–40 hrs/week. You’ll design and build responsive, accessible web applications and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver features
• Translate wireframes/visual designs into interactive and accessible interfaces
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance for speed and scalability
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers

Requirements

• Expert, hands-on experience building web apps with React.js and JavaScript
• Ability to build and maintain responsive, user-centric interfaces
• Strong written and verbal communication and a collaborative mindset
• Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and browser compatibility
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services

Nice-to-haves

• Experience collaborating closely across design, backend, and product teams (implied)
