About the role

Role Overview

Contract Web Developer (Remote) for building and maintaining responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications. You’ll work closely with designers and backend engineers to deliver polished, high-performance digital experiences from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications
Integrate and consume backend APIs; manage data exchange between frontend and backend services
Collaborate with design teams to deliver seamless, visually appealing user experiences
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize web applications for performance and scalability
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code using industry best practices
Contribute to project planning with input on technical feasibility and solutions
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders (written and verbal)

Requirements

Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS (modern, accessible layouts)
Strong JavaScript skills for dynamic web functionality
In-depth experience integrating and consuming backend APIs
Strong understanding of responsive and cross-browser design principles
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while remote
Experience collaborating in distributed teams and using digital project management tools

Nice to Have

Experience with version control systems such as Git
