About the role
Role: Web Developer (Contract, Remote)
Start date: September 14 (contract). Duration: ~2 months at 40 hrs/week or ~4 months at 20 hrs/week. Compensation: $55–66/hr (W2). No visa sponsorship.
Overview
Partner with an internal creative/design team to rebuild a global asset management website from the ground up, delivering a scalable, user-friendly platform with robust financial data integrations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop a new global asset management website from scratch with the internal design team.
- Evaluate and recommend the best CMS/platform based on business and technical needs (not just a default choice).
- Build complex financial data integrations, including:
- Daily NAV auto-updates
- Benchmark index comparisons per fund
- Data feed integration with the client’s fund administrator
- Develop a responsive, scalable site that non-technical users can manage after launch.
- Collaborate in an iterative, sprint-based workflow with designers, writers, content strategists, and stakeholders.
- Train and guide the client team on ongoing management, maintenance, and platform sustainability.
Requirements
- Extensive enterprise web development experience; must have direct experience building sites for asset management, investment, or financial services organizations.
- Strong CMS expertise across multiple enterprise platforms (e.g., Drupal, Webflow, HubSpot CMS, or others) and ability to recommend the right fit.
- Professional experience building websites for asset management / global investment management firms.
- Proven experience integrating external data sources and APIs, including financial data feeds.
- Strong responsive web development skills for customized builds.
- Consultative communication: advise on architecture and platform selection to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in an iterative/sprint-based environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with global websites (U.S. + international requirements).
- Ability to estimate effort and timelines.
- Experience designing intuitive CMS experiences for non-technical business users.
- Experience supporting post-launch website maintenance programs.
- Ability to optimize responsive layouts with minimal design handoff.
