About the role

Role Overview

Join HiredBuddy as an Associate Web Developer on a remote engineering team. You’ll work closely with senior developers and designers to build, update, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Develop responsive web pages that work across devices and browsers
Assist with front-end framework implementation such as React or Vue.js under senior guidance
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and best practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues found in testing or reported by users
Use Git for version control and team collaboration
Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry trends
Support performance, accessibility, and SEO improvements
Communicate progress, risks, and solutions with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with Git
Understanding of responsive design principles
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment

Nice to Have / Learn (Not Required)

Experience with React or Vue.js
Agile development with sprints/iterative delivery
Use of Jira or Trello
Integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
Fundamentals of back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP) and databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
