Web Developer

Role Overview

Hiredbuddy is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Web Developer (entry-level) to join its remote engineering team. You’ll collaborate with senior developers and designers to create, update, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical specifications
• Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build responsive web pages that work across devices and browsers
• Assist with front-end framework implementation such as React or Vue.js (under senior guidance)
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues found in testing or reported by users
• Use Git for version control and team collaboration
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and apply learnings to ongoing projects
• Help optimize performance, accessibility, and SEO
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions with team members and stakeholders

Learning Opportunities

• Modern front-end tools/workflows and best practices for responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Working in an Agile environment with sprints and iterative delivery
• Collaboration using tools like Jira or Trello
• Integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
• Exposure to fundamentals of back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP) and databases (MySQL, MongoDB) as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git
• Understanding of responsive design principles
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and thrive in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Interest in learning modern front-end frameworks (React or Vue.js) and integrating APIs
