About the role

Role Overview

Remote Web Developer (US) to design, build, and optimize web platforms and applications for a global data labeling workforce.

Responsibilities

Platform Development: Design, build, and maintain intuitive front-end web interfaces for contributors and internal management teams.
API & System Integration: Integrate web platform features with data pipelines, backend services, and third-party tools.
Performance & Optimization: Ensure high-speed performance, responsiveness, and strong UI/UX for complex interactive annotation tools.
Maintenance & Reliability: Monitor application health, troubleshoot bugs, and implement standard security practices.

Requirements

Experience: At least 1+ year of professional web development experience, ideally on interactive platforms/marketplaces/SaaS.
Front-End: Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Next.js).
Back-End: Hands-on experience with server-side technology such as Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), or Go.
APIs & Data: Solid understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Location/Work Style: Must be based in the United States and comfortable in an async, remote-first environment.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with crowdsourcing platforms, data labeling tools, or gig-economy task workflows.
