Role Overview

Miva is hiring a Full-Stack Web Developer for its Professional Services team. You’ll build and maintain high-performing eCommerce experiences on the Miva platform in a client-facing role, translating business needs into technical solutions within scope and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain eCommerce storefronts using HTML5, CSS3, and modern vanilla JavaScript within Miva’s templating environment
• Write efficient server-side logic using Miva Template Language (MVT) for dynamic content
• Build and support API integrations (REST/SOAP) with external systems (e.g., ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics)
• Serve as a technical liaison between client storefronts and broader business ecosystems
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues across multiple platforms
• Optimize performance, SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and conversion metrics (including Core Web Vitals, GA4, GTM)
• Implement merchandising, personalization, promotions, and optimized purchase flows
• Ensure mobile-first, cross-browser, and device compatibility
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to deliver solutions on time
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional web development; 1+ year in eCommerce
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code)
• Ability to write cross-browser compatible CSS without relying on CSS-in-JS
• Experience with REST and SOAP API integrations
• Working knowledge of PHP and SQL databases (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Strong understanding of DOM manipulation without external libraries
• Experience with Git workflows, including AI-assisted pull requests and automated commits
• Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
