About the role
Role overview
DataAnnotation is looking for a Web Developer/Designer to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. You will evaluate AI systems’ understanding and generation of design work (interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences), and provide detailed feedback to refine aesthetics, usability, and creative quality.
Responsibilities
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Evaluate AI output for correctness and performance
- Help train models to better understand aesthetic quality and user-centered design
- Contribute to design-focused projects such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (current/in progress/completed)
Nice to have / pathways
- Apply through the general core assessment, then complete a Web & UI/UX Design qualification
- After approval, be invited to design-specific training projects
Compensation & logistics
- Remote (full-time or part-time)
- Choose which projects to work on; work on your own schedule
- General AI training projects: $20+/hr USD; design-focused projects: $40+/hr USD
- Bonuses for exceptional work
- Payment via PayPal; US applicants only
