About the role
Role overview
DataAnnotation is seeking a Web Developer/Designer to help train AI models by evaluating and improving the quality of AI-generated design outputs. You’ll use your UI/UX and design expertise to critique interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences, and provide detailed feedback that helps refine the model’s aesthetics, usability, and creative quality.
This is a growing program focused on teaching AI visual and design principles. After completing a general core assessment, approved designers may qualify for Web & UI/UX Design projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Evaluate AI output for correctness, quality, and performance
- Help train models to better understand aesthetic quality and user-centered design
- Provide detailed feedback for areas such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation (e.g., presentations and creative deliverables)
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Bachelor’s degree (current/in progress/completed) preferred, not required
Contract & compensation
- Independent contract (full-time or part-time)
- Remote with flexible schedule and ability to choose projects
- General AI training: $20+ USD/hour
- Design-focused projects: $40+ USD/hour
- Bonuses for exceptional work
