Web Developer & Designer

Role Overview

You’ll design and build code-based websites end-to-end, using AI coding tools as a core part of your workflow. Claude Code is the primary tool you’ll use to accelerate development while keeping design quality and judgment central.

Responsibilities

• Design & concept: Create layouts, wireframes, and visual directions aligned with brand strategy and conversion goals.
• Design-to-build workflow: Produce mockups and component systems in Figma that translate into production code.
• Code-based website development: Build responsive, high-performing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, leveraging Claude Code to write, refactor, debug, and ship faster.
• Translate Figma into production: Implement designs into production-ready sites that work across devices and browsers.
• UX & conversion collaboration: Work with content/marketing teams to refine UX, user flows, and conversion performance.
• Optimization & delivery: Apply SEO and performance best practices, test across devices/browsers, troubleshoot issues, and manage timelines through launch.
• Continuous improvement with AI: Use AI tools to improve speed, output quality, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience designing and building full websites with a code-first approach.
• Daily hands-on use of Claude Code or comparable AI coding tools.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; able to build production-ready sites from scratch.
• Proficient with Figma (wireframes, components, responsive prototyping).
• Strong design sensibility (typography, composition) with a conversion-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Webflow or Shopify.
• Familiarity with e-commerce UX and checkout optimization.
• SEO principles and site performance optimization experience.
• Experience creating animations or interactive web components.
