Web Developer (Contract)

Role overview

Zip is hiring a Web Developer (Contract) to build, scale, and optimize its marketing website and related web experiences. The role sits at the intersection of design, content, and product, translating high-fidelity designs into responsive, accessible, high-performance web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own implementation of page templates and reusable components in Webflow across Zip web properties
• Partner with demand generation to recommend and execute experiments to improve visitor conversion rate
• Translate static designs into responsive, interactive, and polished web experiences
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, SEO, and modern web best practices
• Maintain and evolve CMS structures to support scalable content publishing
• Extend and productionize the design system into a maintainable web system
• Build interactive elements beyond static content (e.g., animations and lightweight data-driven components)
• Support launches, site updates, and ongoing optimization with strong attention to detail
• Contribute to documentation, tooling, and workflows to help the team move faster
• Build or improve internal tools/processes to streamline collaboration

Requirements

• 5+ years building design system/component-based web architectures
• Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with content-heavy or frequently updated marketing sites
• Familiarity with analytics/performance monitoring and A/B testing tools
• Extensive experience with JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript
• Experience integrating Webflow with Marketo, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.
• Familiarity with Webflow API, Lottie/Rive animations, and no-code tools

Nice to have

• Ability to develop with a headless CMS (e.g., Contentful or Sanity)
• Familiarity with emerging SEO/AEO practices (AI-powered search, answer engines, LLM-driven discovery)
• Experience at a B2B or SaaS company
