Role Overview

Web Developer 2 – Hybrid or Remote for the Learning Variability Network Exchange (LEVANTE), an open-source online assessment platform. The platform supports researchers in measuring developmental variability across cultures and aims to scale to meet global research needs.

This is a 100% FTE, 1-year fixed-term exempt position with possibility of renewal, and it can be remote or based on the Stanford campus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the LEVANTE researcher dashboard to help researchers manage web experiments for children.
Design, implement, and deploy web experiments end-to-end (design/architecture → development → testing → deployment).
Partner with experimental psychologists to refine core functionality and the user experience of the researcher dashboard.
Internationalize experiments on the LEVANTE platform.
Develop and maintain web-based applications and websites from design through deployment.
Implement and support content management systems (install, configure, troubleshoot, and create Stanford-specific modules).
Evaluate third-party modules for functionality, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
Perform selected website administration for existing clients.
Ensure web server and site performance.
Create SEO-friendly documentation and well-structured code.
Provide technical expertise across front-end and back-end web development.
