Role Overview

WCS Developer (WebSphere Commerce Suite - WCS)

• Work arrangement: Fully remote, aligned to PST working hours
• Employment type: Contract (7+ weeks)

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) platforms for high-volume digital retail applications.
• Design, analyze, and build robust backend integrations and business logic using Java (with preference for Spring Boot where applicable).
• Own the end-to-end delivery cycle, including troubleshooting complex ecosystem bottlenecks, writing deterministic code, and deploying solutions independently.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product teams to translate retail requirements into production-ready software designs.
• Participate in and contribute to daily Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and architectural reviews.
• Validate and manage structured data schemas using XML/XSD, and build modular frontend enhancements using modern JavaScript and React.

Requirements

• 15+ years of production-grade enterprise experience in WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) development and architecture.
• Strong backend Java development and enterprise application design.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as a senior-level technical contributor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong familiarity with XML/XSD data payload structuring.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on development of microservices using Java Spring Boot, specifically Spring Boot Batch.
• Frontend exposure with React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Application Details

• Pay range: $55.65/hr–$57.85/hr on W2; $67.14/hr–$75.20/hr on C2C
• Application deadline: June 30, 2026
