About the role
Role Overview
Scrum Master / Delivery Leader for 1–2 product teams building modern cloud-native web applications. The role operates in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environment and includes facilitation of Scrum ceremonies alongside milestone and dependency management.
- Location: 100% remote in the US (no travel)
- Type: Contract (W2)
- Compensation: Starting at $50–$53/hour (W2)
- Eligibility: US Citizenship required (Federal US Government customer)
Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for 1–2 teams (Application Developers / SDET) delivering a suite of large, complex cloud-native web applications.
- Operate within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall web application product development lifecycle.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:
- Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives
- Manage project milestones and dependencies beyond the typical sprint cycle.
- Lead with emotional intelligence and strong conflict management.
- Ensure engineering excellence:
- Run 1:1s, track take-aways, and drive follow-ups.
- Provide training, mentoring, and conflict management; promote diversity of thought.
- Maintain operational accountability using delivery metrics in Jira:
- Analyze Velocity, Capacity, and Say/Do Ratios to reduce rollover and improve sprint health.
- Remove blockers/impediments and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical and functional hurdles.
- Guide realistic estimation and capacity planning to improve sprint outcomes.
- Translate team progress into clear status updates and reports for leadership, bridging Agile execution with Waterfall roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen.
- Minimum 5 years working with application development teams.
- Scrum Master certification.
- Comfortable working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience supporting cloud-native application development teams.
- Exceptional communication skills.

- Experience from a hybrid methodology background (explicitly not looking for “Agile purists”).
