Role overview

Remote UI Lead (offshore) responsible for developing and maintaining Vue Storefront front-end functionality, collaborating with technical leadership/architecture, and mentoring the team.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-structured, maintainable, high-performance code following platform best practices.
• Resolve blocking issues, answer technical questions, and keep delivery on track.
• Work with the Technical Lead and Architect to understand designs and estimates, and proactively challenge them.
• Develop as a Vue Storefront developer for headless commerce implementation projects.
• Implement UI functionality with attention to performance, security, interoperability, error handling, and monitoring.
• Create/update/modify frontend screens with validations based on provided design specs.
• Set up Vue Storefront prerequisites and project environment.
• Deploy the front-end codebase in VFS Cloud.
• Liaise with UX Designers and implement according to specifications.
• Perform code reviews, lead problem solving, and mentor junior developers.
• Handle break/fix issues with urgency when they impact end-user usage.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of professional web application development as a front-end developer.
• Vue Storefront experience: implemented at least 2 projects with Vue Storefront in scope.
• Extensive experience with Vue.js front-end framework.
• Experience installing prerequisites and setting up Vue Storefront projects.
• Experience with Open-Source framework-based commerce sites and headless commerce applications.
• Strong communication skills for working across multiple time zones and cultures.

Preferred qualifications

• Interest/experience with TypeScript, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js.
• Experience with Site Genesis.
• Hands-on CI/CD and deployment automation in VFS Cloud.
