Vue.js/Nuxt Developer - Remote

Role overview

Contractor (hourly), fully remote. As a Vue.js / Nuxt Engineer, you will review AI-generated Vue/Nuxt code and technical explanations, then produce reference implementations and step-by-step solutions for complex frontend problems.

Note: The posting states there is no immediate project, but qualified contractors will be prioritized when opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated Vue/Nuxt code and explanations for:
  • correctness and clarity
  • accessibility
  • security basics
  • performance and bundle impact
  • adherence to the prompt
• Identify issues across common frontend concerns such as:
  • Vue reactivity and component composition
  • state management patterns
  • SSR/SSG, routing, and data fetching
  • hydration, caching, and bundle performance
• Fact-check and validate technical information.
• Write high-quality explanations and model solutions demonstrating best practices.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.
• Develop AI training content by creating detailed prompts and reference answers across Vue/Nuxt topics.
• Optimize AI performance by evaluating and ranking AI responses.
• Ensure model integrity by testing for inaccuracies or unsafe recommendations in real-world scenarios.

Requirements

• 4+ years building production web applications with Vue.js, including 2+ years with Nuxt (or equivalent SSR experience).
• Expert proficiency in modern Vue (Vue 3 preferred), including:
  • Composition API, reactivity system
  • component patterns, lifecycle, slots, transitions
• Strong Nuxt fundamentals (Nuxt 3 preferred), including:
  • server routes, middleware, composables
  • Nitro, SSR/SSG, caching, deployment patterns
• Strong web fundamentals:
  • HTTP and browser rendering
  • security basics (e.g., XSS/CSRF), cookies/sessions, OAuth flows
• Performance mindset:
  • bundle optimization, code splitting, image optimization
  • Core Web Vitals and profiling
• Testing and quality experience:
  • Vitest/Jest, Vue Test Utils
  • Playwright/Cypress
  • linting and CI/CD
• Proven code review experience enforcing maintainability, correctness, and accessibility.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (written and spoken) to follow detailed guidelines and write clear technical explanations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content.
