Role Overview

VP, Software Engineering — ASCAP’s Licensing & Finance Engineering team (Global Technology Solutions).

You’ll provide engineering leadership and technology vision for customer-facing and internal applications, ensuring orderly and efficient delivery while partnering closely with business teams. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will oversee the team’s end-to-end engineering strategy and technology landscape.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical leadership for Licensing & Finance Engineering.
Drive vision, delivery, and technical implementation for the roadmap.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to hire and retain top engineering talent.
Improve the team’s Agile processes to increase time-to-market.
Continuously advance engineering practices and the security posture of applications.
Promote engineering excellence in craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability.
Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and share learnings through communities.
Lead and mentor engineers with hands-on technical collaboration, feedback, and participation in technical discussions.
Foster innovation, inclusion, and self-organization, emphasizing accountability for delivery.

Requirements / Qualifications

Strong experience leading engineering delivery and technical strategy.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and build high-performing teams.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery.
Knowledge of building and operating enterprise applications, including security, scalability, and resilience.
