Role Overview

Vercel is hiring a Visual Designer for its Website Design Engineering team. You’ll shape the visual identity across Vercel’s web presence (e.g., vercel.com, nextjs.org, product launches, and the Ship platform) and influence how the brand shows up across digital and physical touchpoints.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Vercel’s visual language and creative direction for web and brand touchpoints
• Create memorable moments including hero animations, launch films, event visuals, and brand-partnership assets
• Own the end-to-end creative vision from concept to final execution, partnering closely with design engineers who ship the work
• Set and maintain high standards of craft across typography, motion, and visual detail
• Design and refine system components and patterns that feed into a broader design system
• Collaborate across teams to ensure consistency and excellence in visual storytelling
• Contribute to prototypes and participate in implementation when needed

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio spanning brand systems, digital, and physical mediums
• Exceptional visual design instincts and strong attention to detail
• Ability to design scalable, reusable systems, components, and patterns
• Experience contributing to launch moments/events/partnership surfaces under tight deadlines
• Strong web design fundamentals: layout, typography, motion, and interaction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand how design translates into code
• Comfort working in a technology-driven environment (ideally developer/SaaS/B2B)
• Self-starter mindset, collaborative approach, and openness to feedback
• Familiarity with Vercel’s products/ecosystem (preferred)

Bonus / Nice to Have

• Ability to prototype or implement ideas in code using React, Tailwind, or Next.js
• Experience contributing to design systems at scale

Work Location / Remote Policy

• Remote or hybrid allowed
• In-office days required if you’re based near Vercel offices in San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin
