About the role

Role Overview

Handshake is recruiting Visual Design Professionals for the Handshake AI Fellowship. As a fellow, you’ll help advance the creative capabilities of LLMs in areas such as:

Visual storytelling
Brand design
Professional communication

The fellowship runs all year, with project opportunities varying by design specialization.

Work Model

Remote and asynchronous
Flexible hours with no minimum commitment
Placement into projects depends on project availability
Work independently from wherever you are, while collaborating with a distributed team and AI research partners

Responsibilities

Develop domain-specific prompts/inputs for LLMs
Evaluate LLM responses
Research topics of interest (with assistance from AI)
Learn new skills while contributing to AI across different disciplines

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of work experience in design
Full-time design experience as a brand designer, product designer, digital designer, visual designer, creative/art director
Strong design portfolio to demonstrate capabilities
Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a distributed team with AI research partners
Belief that your creative insight can improve upon current AI in visualizing and explaining business concepts
