Role Overview

Turnitin is hiring an UX Writer (USA Remote). You will create clear, user-centered product content and help shape content decisions across the end-to-end product development process.

Responsibilities

Write and refine UX copy across the product experience, including:
- UI text
- Error messages
- Onboarding
Create and improve user guidance and release notes.
Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers from early concepts through delivery, providing copy/content feedback.
Apply UX writing principles, style guidance, accessibility considerations, and user research to content decisions.
Clearly explain the rationale behind content choices to stakeholders.
Manage project-level feedback loops and respond constructively to feedback.
Use Jira to track, prioritize, and deliver work within a structured sprint process.

Requirements (Qualifications)

2–7 years of industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Technical Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Linguistics, Communications, Education (or related field), or equivalent practical experience.
A solid foundation in UX writing and technical writing practices.
