UX Writer (USA Remote)

Role overview

As a UX Writer (USA Remote) at Turnitin, you will create clear, user-centered product content and contribute to content decisions across the end-to-end product development process.

Responsibilities

• Write and refine UX copy across the product experience, including UI text, error messages, and onboarding.
• Create and improve user guidance and release notes.
• Partner with UX Designers and Product Managers throughout the design process, providing content feedback from early concepts to delivery.
• Apply UX writing principles, style guidance, accessibility considerations, and incorporate user research into content decisions.
• Communicate the rationale behind content choices to stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder feedback loops and respond constructively.
• Use Jira to track, prioritize, and deliver work within sprint processes.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of industry experience.
• Solid foundation in UX writing and technical writing practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in English/Writing/Technical Communication/HCI/UX Design/Linguistics/Communications/Education or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
