UX/UI Designer

Role overview
Shape the digital experience of GLS’s products by owning user research, interface design, and supporting system development. You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to turn complex requirements into intuitive, accessible user interfaces aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct UX research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, stakeholder workshops) to identify improvement areas.
- Analyze user behavior, customer feedback, analytics, and support requests to guide design decisions.
- Create user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and user flows.
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Maintain the GLS Design System to ensure consistency across digital assets.
- Support continuous improvement in a collaborative, agile environment, including platforms such as shipper portals, tracking tools, and self-service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related (or equivalent experience).
- 3–6 years designing digital products for web and mobile applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and end-to-end product problem-solving.
- Advanced Figma skills (components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping).
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS or customer-facing platforms.
- Strong UX research methodology knowledge and usability testing experience.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems/component libraries.
Nice to have
- Background in logistics, shipping, e-commerce, or supply chain technology.
- Frontend familiarity (React, Angular, or Vue.js; HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Accessibility knowledge (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Exposure to A/B testing, analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar), and data-driven design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git/version control).
