About the role

Role Overview

Brighton Solutions is seeking a UX/UI Designer for a contract-to-hire position supporting a suite of modern digital platforms and web applications. The role is flexible for remote work, with a preference for candidates located in the greater Chicago area or Northwest Indiana.

You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and IT to design engaging, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.

Responsibilities

Own UX/UI execution across a portfolio of digital products and web applications
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver design solutions
Present design concepts, prototypes, and recommendations to stakeholders
Apply user-centered design to develop features, enhancements, and system improvements
Conduct user research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into design strategies
Create user flows, wireframes (low- to high-fidelity), and interactive prototypes
Produce UI specifications to guide development and ensure smooth handoff
Use usability testing and analytics to validate and optimize UX/UI decisions
Maintain and improve design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards
Ensure designs meet WCAG accessibility guidelines and usability best practices
Proactively identify UX issues, propose solutions, and iterate based on feedback
Maintain quality, consistency, and timely delivery of design assets

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design in an enterprise environment
Portfolio with at least three end-to-end case studies demonstrating UX/UI process
Proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, component libraries, variables, prototyping)
Strong understanding of user-centered design and accessibility (WCAG)
Experience creating user flows, wireframes (low- to high-fidelity), and interactive prototypes
Experience conducting and synthesizing user research to inform design decisions
Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders
Proven cross-functional collaboration with product managers and engineers

Nice to Have

Curiosity and proactive interest in staying current with UX tools, trends, and best practices
