UX/UI Designer - Remote

Role Overview

The UI/UX Designer at GLS Group shapes the digital experience for both customers and internal stakeholders. The role focuses on researching, analyzing, designing, and improving user interfaces and experiences across GLS’s digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, stakeholder workshops) to gather insights and identify opportunities
• Analyze user behavior, customer feedback, analytics data, and support requests
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Validate designs through usability testing
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system for consistent experiences across digital touchpoints
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements and user insights into accessible, intuitive, on-brand products

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields (Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience
• 3–6 years of professional experience designing digital products for web and mobile
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and end-to-end product design
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping)
• Experience designing enterprise SaaS or customer-facing digital platforms
• Strong understanding of UX research methodologies and usability testing
• Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems and component libraries

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, shipping, e-commerce, or supply chain technology
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Exposure to A/B testing, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar), or data-driven design
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD and Git

Reporting / Collaboration

• Reports directly to the VP of IT Services and partners with a Product Manager to advance GLS’s digital presence (portals, tracking tools, and self-service applications).
