UX/UI Designer

Role Overview

Agility Robotics is seeking a UX/UI Designer to design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for operating and managing humanoid robotic systems. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to simplify complex technical workflows into efficient and user-friendly experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for robot and web-based UI, including wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets for implementation.
• Improve UX/UI of features delivered by engineering teams.
• Design industry-leading interfaces for robot operator tools, dashboards, and mobile/web/VR applications.
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure cross-platform consistency.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to align designs with technical feasibility and business needs.
• Support HRI/UX research with user research and usability testing, iterating based on feedback.
• Create intuitive visualizations for real-time data, robot status, and system controls.
• Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging design trends.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong portfolio showing user-centered design for web/software applications.
• Experience designing complex systems such as dashboards or technical/enterprise tools.
• Proficiency with design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
• Experience with prototyping and usability testing.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Authorization to work in the USA.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with robotics, IoT, or industrial automation interfaces.
• Knowledge of front-end basics: HTML/CSS/JavaScript for design-engineering collaboration.

Location / Work Model

• Fully remote with the option for hybrid.
• Strong preference for candidates near Fremont, CA (also mentions Salem, OR and Pittsburgh, PA for in-person collaboration).
