About the role

Role Overview

As a UX Researcher at Volta, you will own understanding how customers and internal users experience the platform. You’ll surface friction points, mental models, and unmet needs to help shape a better product in a fast-moving organization building complex AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research with customers and internal platform users
Partner with Design and Product Management to align research priorities with roadmap needs
Run usability testing for new and existing platform features
Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for product and design teams
Maintain a repository of research findings, personas, and user insights
Define and evolve research methods and practices as the function matures
Advocate for the user perspective in product and design discussions
Track research impact on product decisions and outcomes over time

Requirements

Experience as a UX Researcher, ideally on technical, developer-facing, or infrastructure products
Strong grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methods
Ability to research complex technical workflows and translate them into clear insights
Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and Designers
Excellent synthesis and communication skills; findings must be actionable
Self-directed and comfortable establishing research practice in an early-stage/fast-moving environment
