UX Researcher

Role overview

Join HoneyBook as a Staff UX Researcher on the research team. You’ll lead high-impact, multi-method UX research that informs product development and business decisions. This is a hybrid role based in New York, with 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute complex, multi-method research projects end-to-end: framing → execution → synthesis.
• Produce rigorous, actionable insights that reflect members’ real needs and behaviors.
• Translate findings into compelling narratives that align executives and cross-functional teams with strategic goals.
• Facilitate alignment across product, design, engineering, marketing, and analytics on research goals, decisions, and priorities.
• Stay current on UX research industry trends and improve methods and tools.
• Leverage AI to streamline participant outreach, data analysis, synthesis, and reporting (ensuring accuracy and interpretability).
• Champion user research across the organization and identify emerging opportunities.
• Set and maintain research standards and practices that improve quality, insight communication, and collaboration.
• Mentor and coach peers to elevate research practices and growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing complex UX research initiatives across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Strong command of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to solve problems in ambiguous, complex environments.
• Experience coaching/mentoring peers in research best practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as Qualtrics, Ballpark, UserTesting, User Interviews, and Great Question.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and across time zones.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in sociology, psychology, HCI, or related fields.
• Highly desirable: experience using AI tools to improve research processes.
