UX Researcher

Role Overview

Join the UX Research team as a UX Research Contractor supporting a continuous usability research program for first-time user onboarding. You will work closely with Product, UX Design, Engineering, QA, and Data to generate actionable insights and improve onboarding journeys for new users.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and synthesize weekly usability research sessions with new users
• Moderate remote usability studies end-to-end (plan through synthesis)
• Lead a recurring usability research program with fast turnaround
• Partner cross-functionally to surface insights across Product, UX Design, Engineering, QA, and Data
• Communicate findings clearly to senior and cross-functional stakeholders
• Organize and track insights to support prioritization and decision-making
• Recruit participants and manage logistics for remote and in-person sessions
• Run periodic in-person research sessions onsite in South Jordan, UT

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, Industrial Design, or related field (graduate degree preferred)
• 4+ years of experience conducting qualitative UX research and usability studies
• Proven ability to run rapid, recurring research with fast turnaround
• Ability to lead research independently with minimal oversight
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tight timelines
• Experience presenting findings to cross-functional and senior stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaboration across UX, Product, Engineering, QA, and Data
• User advocacy mindset grounded in real user behavior

Nice to Have

• Experience with products combining software and hardware components
• Collaboration across multiple disciplines (e.g., hardware, software, marketing)
• Familiarity with a wide range of UX research tools and platforms
• Creative background or hands-on hobby experience related to crafting
