About the role

Role Overview

UX Researcher for U.S. Bank’s Corporate & Institutional Banking digital initiatives. You’ll lead research that connects user behavior to business priorities, helping product teams make better decisions in complex, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX research and discovery aligned to business and product objectives
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to define problems, shape research strategy, and guide decisions
  • Select and adapt research methodologies based on context, constraints, and desired outcomes
  • Conduct qualitative/exploratory research (e.g., stakeholder interviews, journey mapping) and synthesize complex inputs
  • Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that inform product direction and business strategy
  • Present insights in a structured, outcome-oriented way for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Identify opportunities to improve digital experiences and support future-state strategy
  • Strengthen cross-functional partnerships and embed user-centered thinking into product development
  • Contribute to consistent research practices (quality, clarity, repeatability)

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of UX design research experience
  • Background in UX/design research, psychology, social science (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Comfort operating in complex ambiguity where problems are not fully defined
  • Strong communication skills connecting research findings to business outcomes
  • Ability to balance methodological rigor with real-world constraints

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in large, complex, regulated organizations
  • Consulting or cross-functional experience with strong stakeholder engagement
  • Experience partnering with product, design, and client-facing teams
  • Track record translating complex findings into decision-driving insights

Work Setup

  • Hybrid/flexible schedule with an in-office expectation of 3+ days per week (Minneapolis, MN).
