About the role
Role overview
As a UX Researcher, you will help train and improve AI models’ understanding of design work. You’ll evaluate AI-generated interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences, then provide detailed feedback to refine aesthetic quality, usability, and creative output.
What you’ll do
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Assess quality of AI outputs for correctness and performance
- Help train models to better understand aesthetic quality and user-centered design
- Contribute to design-focused projects such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation (e.g., presentations and creative deliverables)
Hiring flow
- Apply through the general core assessment
- Complete a qualification for Web & UI/UX Design
- Once approved, work on general AI training projects and be invited to design-specific projects
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flows
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (current/in-progress/completed) but not required
Contracting & benefits
- Remote: full-time or part-time, and you can choose which projects to work on
- Work on your own schedule
- Independent contract via PayPal
Pay
- General AI training: $20+/hr
- Design-focused projects: $40+/hr
- Bonuses for exceptional work
