About the role
UX Researcher (Accessibility & Native Mobile Apps)
Location: Remote (with requirement to be on-site for week 1). Ideal locations: NYC, DC, Charlotte, San Antonio, Irvine Contract: 05 months (+ possible extension)
Role Overview
Lead strategic, user-centered research and usability studies to generate actionable insights that influence the design and development of associate, branch, and client systems, tools, applications, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of UX research and usability studies.
- Use qualitative and quantitative methods to deliver insights that drive business and product decisions.
- Recommend the most efficient and effective research approaches to meet objectives and guide teams through the appropriate UX process.
- Apply change management best practices: build rapport, understand user needs, address resistance, and reinforce learnings/results.
- Partner with multi-disciplinary teams (across business areas) to execute UX projects.
- Consolidate, analyze, and interpret research data; connect insights to business objectives.
- Provide documentation and support that influences product/system/application development and implementation.
- Monitor UX project execution, including establishing and tracking UX project metrics and conducting evaluations.
- Mentor/assist other UX Researchers on similar UX project needs.
Requirements / Critical Competencies
- Strategic thinking and seasoned judgment.
- Strong collaboration and communication in a matrix environment.
- Ability to make decisions on research methods for complex technology questions.
- Creativity, negotiation skills, and strong influence/partnership capabilities.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with native mobile apps, with an emphasis on accessibility.
- Experience with AI tools (preferred).
- Experience leveraging data/analytics and insights to understand user behavior and engagement.
Notes
- Contract role; remote overall but must be on-site during week 1.
