About the role
UX Researcher (Healthcare)
Location: Texas preferred — Hybrid or Remote (United States)
Role Overview
You will work as part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features. The role blends UX research, usability studies, and UI/interaction design, with a strong focus on human factors and healthcare user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct UX research, discovery sessions, and usability studies
- Understand user workflows, operational processes, and business needs
- Create personas, journey maps, and workflows
- Develop low-fidelity concepts and translate findings into UX/UI solutions
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design system assets
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams
- Support usability improvements and product innovation initiatives
- Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders
Required Skills
- Hands-on UX/UI design experience
- Mandatory experience in Human Factors Engineering or Healthcare UX
- Expertise in Figma
- Experience with FigJam and Miro
- Experience creating:
- Personas, user journeys
- Workflow diagrams
- Low-fidelity wireframes
- High-fidelity UI mockups
- Interactive prototypes
- Ability to design and contribute to design systems and reusable components
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Digital Health, MedTech, Healthcare, or connected device platforms
- Experience designing responsive web and mobile applications
- Understanding of accessibility and usability best practices
- Experience working in Agile product teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with connected healthcare devices or patient monitoring platforms
- Experience with usability validation or regulated healthcare environments
- Experience with data visualization/dashboard design
- Ability to independently drive design activities from discovery to delivery
Education
- Engineering degree (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc)
- Technical certifications in multiple technologies are desirable
