UX Research Internship — Deltek

Role overview

Join Deltek’s UX Research team to execute real user research on active business projects. You’ll work closely with the team and report to a Director of UX, learning how a mature research program runs—from recruiting participants to delivering insights.

Responsibilities

Conduct continuous UX research activities, including:
- Recruiting participants
- Facilitating sessions
- Documenting studies
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into stakeholder-ready insights
Maintain and contribute to a structured UX Research Repository (proper tagging and organization)
Apply AI-augmented research workflows for tasks such as metadata generation, insight synthesis, and research discovery
Support Synthetic Persona development by grounding personas in real customer data

Execute research on high-priority projects
Learn full research pipeline practices: recruitment → synthesis → stakeholder delivery
Build foundational UX research skills and work with AI tools reshaping research workflows

Qualifications

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Information Science, or a related field
Coursework or project experience in at least two UX research methods (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys, contextual inquiry)
Ability to analyze qualitative and/or quantitative data and communicate findings clearly
Strong writing, documentation, and organizational skills
Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team

Preferred

Exposure to enterprise or B2B software (as a user, student project, or prior internship)
Familiarity with tools such as Figma/FigJam, Miro, or survey platforms
Interest in AI-augmented research workflows
Experience or coursework related to journey mapping, workflow analysis, or information architecture
Portfolio or sample work demonstrating research thinking (class projects acceptable)

Contract / schedule

Remote, 10-week summer internship (global team)

Compensation

U.S. hourly range listed as $16.00 – $1 (posting appears truncated).
