UX Research and Design

Role Overview

Join Bravo17 as a User Experience Researcher/Designer to raise the UX bar for federal agencies and defense-related mission work. You’ll help design user-centered products by combining research, interface design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

User Research

• Assist with user research activities including:
  • user interviews
  • surveys
  • quantitative analysis
  • usability testing
• Analyze user data and help produce UX artifacts such as:
  • personas
  • journey maps
  • other user-centered deliverables
• Support the creation of research reports and presentations

UX Design

• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes under guidance of senior designers
• Participate in design reviews and critiques
• Learn and apply UX best practices
• Contribute with strong fundamentals (hierarchy, typography, spatial relationships). No need to be a specialist visual designer

Collaboration & Growth

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
• Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale
• Actively seek opportunities to improve UX research and design skills

What You Will Bring

• 0–4 years of practical UX experience
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• Proficiency with Figma (good file setup hygiene, solid prototyping)
• Excellent communication (especially written) and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to learn quickly and adapt
• Portfolio demonstrating hands-on application of UX principles
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI preferred
