About the role
Role Overview
UX Qualitative Researcher (agile, applied research)
You’ll conduct qualitative user research to uncover the highest-impact issues driving most user problems, then share insights that improve the end-to-end product experience. You’ll partner across design, engineering, data science, and other teams to deliver actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative research such as:
- Customer interviews
- Field research and on-site visits
- Iterative user testing
- Choose and run appropriate research methodologies end-to-end:
- Define → Plan → Conduct → Synthesize → Present insights
- Collaborate with UX Designers across the product lifecycle to test and refine concepts
- Document findings and provide actionable recommendations to the product team
- Travel ~20% to meet customers and conduct research sessions
Requirements
- 3+ years experience conducting applied research on consumer products, with depth in hardware product research
- 3+ years experience running end-to-end product research (e.g., agendas/schedules, defining and tracking UX goals and metrics, driving execution, managing additional resources)
- Hands-on experience with:
- User testing
- Field research
- Survey design
- Online user research
- Experimentation tools
- Usage/data analysis
- Experience using a broad mix of qualitative and quantitative methods and knowing the right balance between them
Work Location / Remote Policy
- On-site 4 days/week and 1 day/week remote from home (Loveland, CO)
