About the role
Role Overview
DataAnnotation is hiring a UX/Product Designer to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. You will evaluate and refine how AI systems understand, generate, and assess design work—covering interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Evaluate AI output quality for correctness and performance
- Provide detailed feedback to help models better understand:
- Aesthetic quality
- User-centered design
- Usability and creative quality
- Work on design-specific projects (e.g., UI/UX critique, product visuals, aesthetic evaluation, presentations, creative deliverables)
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of:
- Visual hierarchy
- Interaction design
- User flow
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (current/in-progress/completed)
Nice-to-Haves / Process Notes
- Apply via the general core assessment, then complete a qualification for Web & UI/UX Design
Contract, Location, and Work Style
- Remote (full-time or part-time) with ability to choose projects and work on your own schedule
- Only applicants in the United States are considered
Compensation
- General AI training projects: $25–$30+ USD/hour
- Design-focused projects: $40+ USD/hour
- Bonuses for exceptional work
- Payment via PayPal
