About the role
Role Overview
UX Intern – AI & Innovation (Remote) in the Sales and Business Services department, supporting the UX Design team and reporting to the UX Team Lead. The internship focuses on AI & Innovation related to UX design and research, with hands-on work like prototyping and participation in user research.
What You’ll Do
- Research and prototype: Evaluate and use AI tools to quickly ideate and prototype product concepts for user validation.
- Support user research: Participate in research sessions to learn users’ goals, tasks, and blockers.
- Build the research program: Organize/categorize feedback by product and user type, and track insights from support tickets, surveys, and interviews.
- Design systems: Contribute to the design system and style guide for consistent visual and interaction patterns.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with the UX Team Lead, product managers, and engineers to validate ideas early.
- Documentation & communication: Document findings and prototype iterations and communicate UX recommendations.
What You’ll Need
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program related to HCI, UX/UI design, or user research.
- Genuine interest in AI/ML and hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini).
- Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Strong communication skills to explain design decisions and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity about users and a desire to understand user needs.
- Self-starter with an iteration-first mindset.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
It’s a Plus If You Have
- Experience with product management frameworks (user stories, roadmaps, prioritization).
- Experience conducting/participating in user research (usability testing, interviews, surveys).
- Basic familiarity with cybersecurity concepts or technical environments.
- Experience with design systems or shared component libraries.
- Coursework/projects in information architecture, interaction design, or research methods.
- Exposure to tools like Jira, Notion, or Confluence.
