About the role

Role Overview

Staff UX Designer, Workflow Systems (hands-on individual contributor) at Seeq.

You will lead UX work for complex, cross-role workflows across strategic product initiatives—starting with batch analytics. The focus is on moving from discovery to shipped experience, especially when problems span multiple users, systems, and time horizons.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workflow discovery for strategic product initiatives (initial focus: batch analytics).
  • Conduct and synthesize contextual research to uncover handoffs, bottlenecks, workarounds, and unmet needs.
  • Translate insights into practical workflow artifacts, such as:
    • Journey maps
    • Service blueprints
    • Future-state flows
  • Design the end-to-end user experience, including:
    • interaction design
    • prototyping
    • high-fidelity workflow designs ready for implementation
  • Validate both individual interactions and end-to-end workflows across feature boundaries and real customer use cases.
  • Partner with the UX Researcher and other designers to plan studies, share findings, and raise workflow-centered design quality.
  • Contribute to design critiques, Design System evolution, and team practices by sharing patterns, learnings, and methods.
  • Help shape how AI-enabled experiences appear within workflows, focusing on trust, clarity, and role handoffs.
  • Serve as a strong design partner and subject-matter contributor within your product area.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of UX experience designing and shipping B2B SaaS products.
  • Demonstrated experience designing complex, multi-step/multi-role workflows in technical, data-heavy, or operationally complex domains.
  • Strong end-to-end craft: discovery → synthesis → interaction design → prototyping → shipped UX.
  • Experience with service design/workflow-systems methods (e.g., journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem maps, longitudinal workflow research).
  • Strong qualitative research skills, including contextual inquiry with technical end users.
  • Portfolio showing problem framing and shipped outcomes.
  • Experience designing for AI-enabled/agent-assisted experiences, especially around trust, explainability, and handoffs.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma, comfortable moving from low-fidelity workflow thinking artifacts to high-fidelity UI.
  • Strong written/visual communication; can explain tradeoffs to Product, Engineering, and stakeholders.
  • Comfort with technical products and data-rich interfaces; ability to learn complex domains quickly.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in UX/HCI/service design (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-Haves

  • None explicitly stated beyond the AI workflow trust/explainability and workflow-systems methods described in the requirements.
