About the role

UX/UI Designer (Visual/UI)

Contract role supporting the AI Research team at Cella.

Role overview

  • Define the look and feel of high-impact AI demos and web interfaces across mobile and desktop.
  • Collaborate with product managers, scientists, engineers, and marketers to connect AI research with product development and CRM-focused experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design intelligent interfaces by partnering with technical and product leads to deliver intuitive, high-capability demos and UIs.
  • Elevate the digital presence alongside marketing to refine/expand the AI Research web footprint (primary portal and research blog).
  • Craft visual assets including social content, presentation decks, and branding to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
  • Rapid prototyping from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, moving quickly to executive alignment.
  • Maintain and evolve design standards within existing frameworks while improving them.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly to both researchers and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI/visual design (sketches through finalized products).
  • Technical agility and comfort with front-end development or "vibe-coding" to prototype/fix concepts.
  • Figma mastery (essential).
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge: Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing for AI products/demos and research-to-product workflows.
