UX Designer

Role Overview

As a UX Designer at Premier, you will deliver interaction and visual design for both internal enterprise tools and member-facing digital products. You’ll translate user research findings and business requirements into user-centered designs that are intuitive, consistent, and aligned with Premier’s design standards.

Responsibilities

Design (Primary)

• Translate user research, business requirements, and technical constraints into design solutions.
• Create interaction flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for desktop and mobile.
• Produce prototypes of varying fidelity, from low-fidelity click-throughs to polished interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Create high-fidelity mockups in Figma that follow Premier’s design system and visual standards.
• Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback from peers and design leadership.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to maintain design integrity.
• Maintain consistency with interaction design standards and flag potential exceptions.

Research Application

• Apply insights from usability tests, contextual inquiries, and user surveys to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with UX researchers and product managers to translate research into actionable improvements.
• Support usability testing by documenting observations and outcomes.
• Perform light industry research to stay current on UX trends and best practices.

Project Management

• Own personal milestone and delivery schedules.
• Keep cross-functional stakeholders informed on design progress and decisions.
• Manage up to 3 concurrent projects within an assigned business line.

General & Administrative

• Support administrative duties (meetings, training, time/expense reports, self-evaluations).
• Work with your supervisor on performance improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of applicable experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Figma skills for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
• Solid visual design fundamentals (typography, color, layout, hierarchy, composition).
• Knowledge of interaction design and user-centered design methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and apply UX research to design decisions.
• Ability to take clear direction and execute work.
