UX Designer (Junior)

Role Overview

Join the digital product team as a Junior UX Designer supporting intuitive, user-centered mobile app experiences. This is a remote, full-time (40 hours/week) contract expected to last ~6 months, working during CST or EST business hours.

What You’ll Do

• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma for ongoing digital product initiatives
• Assist in maintaining and evolving the UX component library and design system for consistency and scalability
• Translate requirements from UX leads, product partners, business analysts, and stakeholders into clear design solutions
• Support rapid prototyping for concept validation and stakeholder reviews
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design accuracy and fidelity during implementation
• Document designs and prepare Jira tickets, including annotations and acceptance criteria
• Participate in design critiques, team reviews, and feedback sessions
• Support UX research by incorporating feedback into design iterations
• Provide light visual/marketing design support for in-app and related digital assets when needed

Requirements

• 1+ years of UX/UI experience or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent skills
• Proficiency in Figma (components, auto layout, variables, and prototyping)
• Understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design principles
• UX fundamentals: user flows, wireframing, information architecture
• Experience or exposure to Agile environments (e.g., Jira or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established design standards
• Clear communication skills and openness to feedback
• Experience designing for mobile (iOS and/or Android)
• Exposure to usability testing or UX research
