About the role

Role Overview

IMG is hiring a UX Designer to design intuitive websites and user experiences for travelers, aligning customer needs with business, marketing, and brand goals.

Responsibilities

User Research & Discovery

  • Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics)
  • Create personas, journey maps, and experience flows
  • Identify usability issues and opportunities from user insights and data

UX Design & Interaction Design

  • Produce wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models at varying fidelity
  • Design end-to-end experiences for new features and existing workflows
  • Define and refine information architecture and navigation models
  • Ensure designs follow WCAG 2.1+ and inclusive design principles

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA throughout the design lifecycle
  • Translate requirements into developer-ready specifications
  • Participate in design reviews, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder presentations
  • Support implementation and validate designs via post-release testing

Design Systems & Standards

  • Contribute to and maintain design systems, patterns, and UI guidelines
  • Promote UX best practices across teams

Front-End (HTML/CSS)

  • Use browser developer tools to inspect, troubleshoot, and fix UI issues
  • Work with CSS/SCSS for responsive, scalable, component-based UI
  • Review and adjust developer-produced HTML/CSS to match design specifications

Requirements

  • 3+ years professional UX design and front-end development experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and problem solving
  • Proficiency with UX/design prototyping tools: Figma (and/or others such as Sketch/Adobe XD)
  • Experience designing responsive web applications and/or mobile experiences
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in UX Design, HCI, Psychology, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent)
  • UX industry standards/trends knowledge
  • Familiarity with usability testing tools and analytics platforms
  • Experience with enterprise, regulated, or data-heavy applications
  • Plus: familiarity with Visual Studio, VS Code, and Git
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira

Work Setup & Location

  • Indianapolis, IN (Corporate Office)
  • Remote & Hybrid options available
