UX Designer

Design intuitive, user-centered websites and experiences that align customer needs with business, marketing, and brand objectives.

Role Overview

• Own UX design for new features and existing workflows
• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and QA
• Ensure accessibility and consistency across products
• Bridge design and front-end implementation to validate outcomes

Responsibilities

User Research & Discovery

• Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics)
• Create personas, journey maps, and experience flows
• Identify usability issues and opportunities from user insights and data

UX & Interaction Design

• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models (multiple fidelity levels)
• Design end-to-end user experiences for features and workflows
• Define and refine information architecture and navigation models
• Ensure designs follow accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) and inclusive design principles

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA throughout the design lifecycle
• Translate requirements into developer-ready design specifications
• Participate in design reviews, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder presentations
• Support implementation and validate designs via post-release testing

Design Systems & Standards

• Contribute to and maintain design systems, patterns, and UI guidelines
• Advocate for UX best practices across teams

Front-End (HTML/CSS)

• Use browser developer tools to inspect, troubleshoot, and correct UI issues
• Work with CSS and SCSS (Sass), including responsive and scalable component-based approaches
• Review/adjust HTML/CSS from developers to match design specifications

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional UX design experience and front-end development
• Strong portfolio showing user-centered design thinking
• Proficiency with design/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
• Experience designing responsive web and/or mobile experiences
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in UX Design/HCI/Psychology/Graphic Design or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with UX industry standards and trends
• Experience with usability testing tools and analytics platforms
• Experience designing for enterprise/regulatory/data-heavy applications
• Experience with Visual Studio, VS Code, and Git (plus)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum; familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira)
